Our Federal Government client has just moved in to new offices and are currently looking to add 2 Test Analysts to their team. Looking to start 1 July, and initial 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extensions, this could be just the right fit for the new financial year!

The agency has established a Digital Roadmap (under a business-led Program of Work) to guide the ongoing development and provision of IT-delivered business systems. Delivery of these systems are facilitated through an Agile Release Train (ART) under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The ART currently consists of multidisciplinary teams which span a range of skills (such as .NET development, CRM development, Java development, User Research and Design, Testing and Support).

The Test Analysts will play an important role in the delivery of the Roadmap by analysing business requirements and developing test scenarios & test scripts against Epics and Features.

While the Agency has implemented a Scaled Agile Framework methodology, and the Analyst is expected to work as part of a Scrum team, there is a requirement for all work to be documented per Agile, ITIL, or Prince2 methodologies (as relevant).

The Analyst will be expected to follow the processes, procedures, and templates developed by the Agency accordingly. This includes mandatory training packages provided by the Agency.

The Analyst's performance will be monitored by their delegated Supervisor and Scrum Masters/Peers during the term of the contract. Reporting requirements will include but not limited to:

  • Activity and progress meetings with either the designated Supervisor or Scrum Masters/Peers
  • Records of activity and progress against work items
  • Major work reviews by designated Executive staff and customers when deliverable milestones have been completed.

The key requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in testing using BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) and CI/CD (Continuous integration/Delivery).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience in the preparation of test scripts and test data for automation.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps, GitHub, Visual Studio, SpecFlow, C# and Gherkin syntax
  • Solid skills in testing REST API using Postman and writing automation scripts for REST API tests
  • Experience with non-functional testing is desired.
  • The Analyst will ideally possess ISTQB certification.

Location of work:

  • Woden - Australian Capital Territory

Security Clearance and Citizenship

Candidates must be Australian citizens with minimum Baseline clearance, or the ability to obtain.
