As an experienced Systems Administrator, you will configure and administer IT systems across a mix of BAU and project work, possessing strong all-round knowledge and experience in systems and infrastructure fields.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

* Liaising with the business to communicate IT capability and required resources for upcoming projects.
* Design, test and implement new IT systems, coordinate migrations.
* Monitoring IT availability against SLAs, developing & maintaining monitoring capability and performing tuning & optimization tasks to improve the overall capability and performance of IT Systems.
* Ensure hardware and software applications and network components are working to established technical and operational standards.
* Lead and coordinate service requests for provisions, installing, operating and upgrading of engineering systems and infrastructure.

To be considered, you must demonstrate the following:

  • Windows Server and desktop operating systems and roles (AD/AAD, CA, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, DHCP & Microsoft 365)
  • Microsoft Exchange/EXO, understanding of email routing
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking solutions, firewalls, routers and switches
  • VMware ESXi virtualisation
  • Linux experience
  • Strong understanding of IT security principals & ITL framework
  • Experience scripting in PowerShell, SQL, C#, etc..
  • Mentoring level 1/2 engineers, offering technical guidance
  • Microsoft SCCM
  • Experience building and deploying Windows SOE in Enterprise environment
  • Source control systems management, eg TFS, Bitbucket, etc.


Desirable skills:

  • AWS experience (EC2, VPC, S3 etc..)
  • Microsoft SQL database management
  • Linux experience
  • Container concepts (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • DevOps concepts and tools
  • CI/CD concepts, eg. Octopus Deployment, Team City. etc.
