The role of the FTTx Network Engineer is responsible for the Capacity and Network Performance of the FTTx suite of technologies and will focus on technically escalate incidents from the first and second tier support centres. This role will include troubleshooting and diagnosing Network and Service incidents which are experiencing speed and stability issues preventing or inhibiting service performance and driving a negative customer experience.

To be considered for this role you will ideally have a some experience working in the Field on a Copper Network.

Knowledge & Experience:

Understanding of FTTX Copper networks ( rehabilitations activities an advantage )

An understanding of telecommunications terms and network configuration in the Fixed Line Space - FTTN, FTTB, FTTC & FTTP

Demonstrated ability to work to develop their functional competencies through process improvements

Familiarity with current telecommunications technology developments

High level of organisational and prioritising skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Commitment to safety, quality and time management

Technical Skills:

Demonstrated ability to deliver in a rapidly evolving technical environment

The ability to develop and implement complex processes and procedures

Ability to work to tight, often conflicting deadlines

Remedy BMC ticketing system

Understanding of Workforce management Systems

PNi, SpatialNet,

AMS, SAM, IPACT, TnD, SharePoint

Mud Maps
