Level 1/ 2 Helpdesk MSP

Role description

Finite is currently looking for an experienced Helpdesk person for a permanent role. The successful candidate will provide level 1 support, experience in a Managed Service Provider environment, troubleshooting and problem-solving requests.

Tools to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience providing level 1 and 2 IT support
  • Microsoft Windows support experience
  • Active Directory, Exchange and email filter administration
  • Able to convey technical information to non-technical staff
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities/ Requirements

  • Proactively work towards meeting customer and organisational Service Level Agreements and achieve a high level of Customer Satisfaction ratings
  • Receive requests from clients, diagnose and resolve where possible or assign to appropriate area and be accountable for monitoring and follow-up action
  • Provide first level support for a range of information technology environments including network and desktop environments, Internet and intranet, software and hardware support
  • Maintain working knowledge of current Information Technology systems, security awareness and technical skills to support a dynamic VIP focused environment
  • Undertake escalation procedures, coordinate communication with clients, support units and staff and monitor major service issues to resolution
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of technical standards, procedures, policies and systems documentation
