About the Role

Finite Recruitment is looking for IT Support Specialists to join our Defence client based in Adelaide. We have multiple opportunities and are seeking applications from candidates who are willing to take on Permanent or Contract with Active and Valid Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 (OR) NV2.

To be successful in this role you must have prior experience providing Technical Support (Level 1/2) to end users over the call or remotely in an Enterprise (OR) MSP environment across a variety of technologies. Ensure all technical processes and security protocols are correctly followed. Someone who is highly client-focused, has demonstrable technical skills, and can function well in a team environment Must be well-presented and possess strong oral and writing communication abilities. And capable of meeting the following requirements;

  • Demonstrated experience in a Desktop Support (OR) ICT Support Role (OR) Server Support Role
  • Demonstrated experience in Hardware, Software, Network Infrastructure and Printing systems Installation, Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving.
  • Experience supporting users in an Enterprise Environment supporting customers over the call with various Desktop tickets
  • Advanced knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook/OWA, Teams and OneDrive highly desirable)
  • Experience Active Directory based User administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in Virtualisation, VMware and similar technologies on Windows (10 & 7) and Linux (preferred) environment.
  • Good knowledge of DNS and TCP/IP.
  • Experience with remote monitoring, management tools and Ticket tools.
  • Experience with supporting Physical and Virtual environments (Desktop and Servers).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills


  • At least 02 years of experience working in IT/ICT Technical or Desktop or Server Support roles.
  • Must to have a valid Australian Government NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance (AGSVA)
  • Degree and/or IT related qualifications equivalent relevant experience.
  • Customer service experience over the phone, walk-in and remotely.
  • Must to have strong client focused approach and service management principles and procedures.
  • Understanding of ITIL service management framework and supporting processes.
