Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP Practice Manager to lead and grow our dedicated SAP practice. Reporting jointly to the Chief Growth Officer and the Client Delivery Executive, you will be responsible for the overall success of the practice, encompassing strategic direction, operational excellence, team leadership, client satisfaction, and financial performance. You will be a key subject matter expert, driving business development, managing key client relationships, and ensuring the high-quality delivery of SAP solutions and services. This role is pivotal in expanding our footprint within existing clients and winning new business.

Location: Canberra, ACT (Primarily supporting Federal Government clients) / Jerrabomberra, NSW

Key Responsibilities:

• Practice Leadership & Strategy (P&L Management):
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for the SAP practice, aligning with overall company goals.
  • Manage the practice P&L, taking accountability for achieving revenue, gross margin, consultant utilisation, and profitability targets.
  • Oversee operational efficiency, resource allocation, and forecasting for the practice.
• Team Management & Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of SAP consultants (currently over 50 deployed consultants mentioned in capabilities doc).
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and professional development for practice members.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
• Sales Support & Business Development:
  • Act as the primary SAP subject matter expert supporting sales pursuits, including pre-sales activities, solutioning, and proposal/RFQ responses.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Drive business development activities to expand services within existing accounts and win new logos, particularly within the Federal Government sector.
  • Create and present compelling value propositions based on FinXL's SAP capabilities (Technical, Functional, Security, Data, Cloud).
• Service Delivery Excellence:
  • Ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects (Implementations, Migrations, Upgrades), functional improvements, system discovery, and managed services.
  • Oversee project governance, quality assurance, and adherence to best practice methodologies.
  • Act as an escalation point for project or client issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Professional Services, with significant experience in SAP solution delivery and practice leadership.
• Proven track record of managing a P&L and achieving financial targets within a services practice.
• Strong leadership skills with experience building, managing, and motivating technical teams.
• Deep understanding of the SAP landscape (ECC 6.0 & S/4HANA), including technical (ABAP, Fiori, UI5, Workflow) and functional modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PS, PM, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in business development, pre-sales, and selling complex IT solutions, preferably within the Federal Government or large enterprise sectors.
• Excellent client management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills with executive presence.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and service delivery best practices.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with S/4HANA transformations and cloud migrations (Azure, AWS).
• Experience working directly with Federal Government clients in Australia.
• Relevant SAP certifications.
