About the Project
Legal Business Services (LBS) provides legal advice to all divisions within various government departments.
The Commercial and Properties legal team help with all aspects of commercial and property law, including procurement of goods, services and works, contract management and disputes, sale and purchase of land, leasing and grants.
A project has been started to move the Commercial and Properties team to use the legal practice management system - LexisNexis VisualFiles.
At present the commercial and properties team store their legal documentation into Objective Record Management System.
As part of the project a data migration will be carried out to ensure that all the legal files are held in the legal practice management system to ensure the users have easy access to them.
About the role
The Data Migration Specialist will design the data migration process including creating scripts that perform the mappings of existing data items to new structures, the collection of source data, data transfer and upload mechanisms.
As Data Migration Specialist you will be responsible for the data migration design and execution. This includes but is not limited to profiling data across the system and identifying and analysing data conflicts. You will also work with business data owners to define and understand the data.
