The Role:

Finite is looking to engage a Business Case Lead to actively contribute to a high-performing team environment and support the Program more broadly.

The key responsibilities include:

Coordinate the compilation of and presentation of information to meet predetermined document structures

Oversee the drafting of briefing, Question Time Briefings (QTB), Senate Estimates briefings, presentations, reporting, talking points, for a wide range of stakeholders

Support the team to build a quality set of material that reflects the strategic purpose of the Program of work accurately and succinctly

Work autonomously to deliver an assigned outcome providing recommendations where possible

Review and endorse product and project designs prior to Portfolio approval process

Liaise and work collaboratively with the Future State Design Lead to ensure overall alignment to the strategic vision of the portfolio

Prepare a range of written materials including business cases, policies, briefing notes, memorandums for approval, project plans, correspondence, discussion papers and reports to a high standard

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Mandatory

Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, including experience preparing written material for a wide range of stakeholders

Demonstrated experience in the development of business cases and related documentation.

Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a complex and high-pressure environment

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task, and an ability to work flexibly and collaboratively by building and maintaining strong working relationships

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Cost Modelling tools and processes

Experience in registering submissions and progressing them through the workflow process

A solid understanding of the public sector and ministerial relationship

Desirable

Significant experience working in a business writing/facilitation role where high levels of customer service delivery are expected

Experience facilitating and designing workshops for broad stakeholder groups

Expertise in the Microsoft suite of programmes; particularly in excel and word.

Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.

Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly gain knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
